At Highland Hospital, we’re dedicated to preserving one of your most valuable gifts – your eyesight. We provide comprehensive care with state-of-the-art facilities for each and every patient, meeting each individual’s needs. Two of our key objectives are:
- To preserve vision through early detection of eye diseases
- To prevent blindness by raising patient awareness of the risks of eye disease
When you visit us, our staff optometrists will assess your visual function, eye movement and eye health through a comprehensive eye exam. They might prescribe glasses, or medication might be required. They are also trained to counsel you on surgical and non-surgical options that meet visual needs related to your occupation, avocations, and lifestyle.
We are proud to be in a joint venture with UC Berkeley School of Optometry (UCBSO) – one of the nation’s top optometry schools – with services provided by the faculty, clinical interns, and residents. Combined with an outstanding research background, the program allows clinicians to practice optometry with the latest knowledge and the most advanced clinical skills.
